Fundraising reports

As you may be aware, we had two events this week. First was the Christmas Fair which despite a cold day it went well, many thanks to all those that supported the fund raising team, and many thanks to Antonio of Meson Sara for use of his premises and for the kind donation he gave us.

We made €260 towards the fighting fund, sold out of mince pies very early, and even managed to sell an old bike donated by the president of SOHA.ES!!!!

Last Saturday evening SOHA.ES shared a dinner and dance with Come Dancing for Cudeca, at El Trapiche Restaurant.

After the food, wine, brandy chocs and mince pies, there was a mixed programme of ballroom, sequence, old-time and Scottish dancing, aimed at keeping the most inexperienced dancers on their feet. It seemed to work very well, and some non-dancers actually resolved to take up dancing regularly.

There were two food hampers, wine donated by Vinomar and a hotel meal for two at Los Orquides, among the many raffle prizes.

When the fun had finished there were 125 euros left to swell SOHA.ES’s fighting fund.

Thanks to the SOHA.ES Fund-raising Committee, and the Come Dancing team for their hard work in organising the event at only 15€ per head.

Thanks also to the stalwart SOHA.ES members who attended. They really enjoyed themselves.
