Another two houses demolished in Almeria.

A retired British couple have seen their dream Spanish villa turned to dust because it was built without planning permission by a rogue developer who duped them into buying it.

John and Jan Brooks spent £170,000 on the three-bedroom hillside property in Cantoria, Andalucia, which came complete with an outdoor swimming pool.

They intended to spend three months a year living in the home entertaining their six children and six grandchildren.

But less than a year after they bought the villa in 2005, Mr and Mrs Brooks, from Taunton, Somerset, were forced to move back to Britain for good.
